The tile painting process starts by choosing a perfect virgin ceramic tile that is individually clean with a wet cloth. Once dryed, three different coats of cloud white (solution to help color be bright, not dull) are applied, waiting in between each coat to dry. The goat is drawn on a piece of paper and then drawn on the tile itself. Color is then applied bringing the goat to life. To create strong vibrant colors, three and four different coats of ceramic painting are applied, waiting for each coat to dry. There is a need to wait for the coats to dry as bubbles can form if you don't. Once the painting is done, it is fired in a quiln. The beauty of ceramic tile painting is the surprising end result once the tile comes out of the quiln; an artist can only guesstimate the final color of the painting by the amount of coats given. There are also several "mixed" colors that the artist hope it delivers what was seeked. We, at Adoros, hope you find this one of a kind tile rooster a treasure to keep or to give. Oak frame. Size: 8"x8" framed. Tile size: 6"x6". Weight: 1 lb. Framed like a painting, it can be hanged. You can use your tile also as a trivet to hold hot pots (heat will not damage it). You may display it in your kitchen counter and put anything on it to keep the counters clean and scratch free.
